Are you an accomplished business owner looking to expand an existing business or interested in starting a completely new venture? Maybe you’re like I was, entrenched in an unsatisfying career working long hours with little hope of change. Regardless of the motivation that led you to my site, I am very pleased you’re here. I look forward to working with you, sharing my experiences, and helping you to do exactly what I did – achieve financial freedom and independence through entrepreneurship.
It seems like just yesterday I was searching for a way out of my 20 year career with UPS. The long hours were mounting and I was definitely burning out. I was exceptionally disappointed because I was missing my daughter growing up. I was one excuse after another on why I wasn’t able to attend or would be late for important events. Yet, despite my lengthy employment and commitment to my job, the irony is that inside I always considered myself an entrepreneur. I was always thinking of and looking for ways to make more money and to build something I could call “my own.”
In seeking financial freedom, over the many years I tried and pursued an untold number of various business ventures. It wasn’t until 2006 when I found Joel Davis and his million dollar Non-Emergency Medical Transportation information online that I discovered a passion and an opportunity to gain financial independence.
After studying Joel’s material, I started my first transportation business, The Wheelchair Taxi. Starting with a single vehicle, I begin servicing the transportation needs of my local nursing facilities, hospitals, and residents.
Hi! I just want to thank you for your great ebook How to Start a Successful Courier & Small Package Delivery Service! I had a lot of questions, and the book is right on. The information is very helpful! This is very motivational and inspiring!! I’m amped and ready to get started!
Within two years I saw the opportunity to diversify The Wheelchair Taxi. In working with many hospitals, nursing centers, and similar facilities, I quickly recognized the opportunity to meet their courier needs. These facilities needed everything from linen, medical documents, legal documents, organs, small machines, and more needing delivery and transportation to various locations. I began to inquire with key contacts and facility staff with whom I already had a relationship with through The Wheelchair Taxi. After receiving confirmation that there was a need and opportunity I incorporated Quick Time Courier.
After leveraging my existing contacts, I began to expand Quick Time Courier outside of the medical realm. I began soliciting traditional businesses and larger transportation services that use subcontractors for a variety of reasons.
The Wheelchair Taxi and Quick Time Courier were both continuing to grow in size, volume, and profitability. Because of The Wheelchair Taxi, I was already financially independent when I started Quick Time Courier. At that time, I was taking home more money in one week than I did at year 20 with the UPS. But I was enjoying what I was doing. I owned my own business, was making more money, and head immeasurably more freedom and flexibility. All such benefits further increased my motivation and passion.
In 2010, roughly four-plus years after achieving financial success with The Wheelchair Taxi and Quick Time Courier, Joel encouraged me to invest time into writing my own ebook – sharing my unique experience of leveraging my medical transportation company to almost guarantee my success in the courier industry. In seeing the opportunity to help other entrepreneurs, I created “How to Start a Successful Courier and Small Package Delivery Service.” I am exceptionally please to share that entrepreneurs across the U.S., Canada, and beyond continue to learn from this resource. Because I still own and operate The Wheelchair Taxi and Quick Time Courier and always experience new events, I continue to update and expand “How to Start a Successful Courier and Small Package Delivery Service.”
How to start Successful Medical transportation business.
As the saying goes, “Success breeds success.” In further bringing The Wheelchair Taxi and Quick Time Courier together, I stumbled on another great money-making opportunity – medical equipment rental. I say “stumbled on” because realizing this opportunity was completely by accident. I was in the process of purchasing a used wheelchair van. The seller was an elderly woman whose husband had recently passed away. Along with the vehicle were his two electric wheelchairs. She offered them so cheap I purchased them with the intentions of reselling them on Craigslist.
After cleaning up and preparing the electric wheelchairs, I posted them for sale. To my complete surprise, I was solicited on multiple occasions with rental inquiries. I honestly had no thought or intentions of renting the two electric chairs. But when you receive similar questions on multiple occasions, an obvious pattern of opportunity might be emerging.
Long story short, I began running some numbers and doing some simple online research. I wanted to learn about possible market opportunity, potential rental fees, possible terms and arrangements, and more. I was excited because this was a completely new idea that, essentially, came out of no where! I certainly wasn’t expecting to start a new business with two used electric wheelchairs. But since I had them and it looked like a new business opportunity, I needed to gather more information and do so fast so I could put these pieces “on the market” and making money.
The level of information for starting a used medical equipment rental business simply doesn’t exist online – until I now, with my newest release of “How to Start a Successful Medical Equipment Rental Business.” I created this material to compliment my courier ebook. As was the case with all of my businesses, I experienced a great deal of success, but I also made mistakes that proved to be excellent learning opportunities. Needless to say, in addition to my successes, I also share many of my mistakes so you can learn from my experiences while saving yourself a great deal of time, money, and effort.
As I always share with prospective entrepreneurs thinking of starting one of these three businesses, a medical transportation, courier, or medical equipment rental business, you will be amazed at how to cost effectively you can start such businesses. I can assure you, I am speaking from firsthand experience. I started The Wheelchair Taxi with a single vehicle. When I first started Quick Time Courier, I started with the same vehicles I already owned and operated with The Wheelchair Taxi. The, with my medical equipment rental business, I started with two electric wheelchairs that I literally got for pennies on the dollar.
So there are two paramount facts that I can absolutely promise you in owning any of these three businesses. First, it does NOT require a significant startup capital. Second, they are definitely profitable!
In “How to Start a Successful Medical transportation” I am going to share which equipment will make you the most money and which equipment to avoid. I am going to share with you pricing, terms, policies and procedures. I am going to share ideas and strategies for finding the best equipment at the best price. I will share advertising ideas and strategies for marketing to you clientele and more.
This ebook is worth the investment. Our NEMT is still growing, and I am looking for a way to keep my vehicles on the road while we are building. I read Carlos’ ebook last night, created an account on the online forum, and we received a $45 package delivery this morning. We are $2 away from recovering our investment!
Long life to Joel and Carlos…
